I will always be grateful to Phyllis Cox & Sue Crandell for the opportunity to own this special girl! She came on a trial basis and after the first night, I knew I couldn't live without her. Maddie spent years every day in my classroom demonstrating unconditional love to my students. She provided enjoyment to them as she walked around the classroom, went out to recess with them, was used for lessons in writing and measurement, and was a good pillow when they wanted to lay down and read. Sometimes.........they hugged her neck and cried if life wasn't all it should be that day. Maddie was always there for every student -- no matter what they needed.

She also performed in plays at school and at our local community theater.

Maddie was also involved in a program called Book Buddies at our public library. Students would come and read to her and after a four week session, the child was able to choose a new book and have it "pawtographed" by Maddie.

As a Certified Therapy Dog, Maddie also regularly visited our local hospital.

As much as Maddie loved the kids at school, what she loved most was being a "mom" - I feel so fortunate to have her daughter "Sting" to love!

While Maddie was purchased as a show dog, she never enjoyed it --- I think she knew she had much more important things to do -- and I couldn't agree more! She certainly has made a positive difference in many, many people's lives.
